Anthony L Church was born in Leicester in May 1955. He was educated at Winstanley High School, Braunstone Town and Bosworth College.
He worked for forty-six years in the civil service and retired at the end of March 2019. Tony has always had a love of writing and the performing arts and also turns his hand to acting and directing and indeed anything that needs to be done to get a show on. He is the former resident writer with the Loughborough based company, Stage Left Theatre Workshop. His first play, a Damon Runyon style Cinderella, was performed by Herrick Theatre at the Leicester Guildhall for Christmas 2002. Tony graduated with a first-class honours degree in Literature from The Open University in 2012. He has just completed a MA in Shakespeare and Theatre with the University of Birmingham's Shakespeare Institute based at Stratford-Upon-Avon |
